i recently had an experience with a landlord turning me down solely because my partner and i are medical patients and he would be the "talk of the neighborhood" if he had tenants "smoking reefer" outside his building. let me just state that i completely understand no smoking rules and other guidelines that landlords and property managers and so on have to follow. however, it's not illegal, it is medicine, and you dont just have to smoke it to get the effects, there are so many alternative ways to use it. i'm honestly pretty taken back by that experience especially because of how widely accepted cannabis (seems) to be now, but i guess it's really not.
my problem is, i'd rather be honest with whoever is in charge of the building or house rather than move in and try and hide the medical use of marijuana and possibly get in trouble. but now i just don't know.
so what are your opinions??? are people really against medical patients? should people be honest about using cannabis?
