Hi everyone! I'm a commerce undergrad from Melbourne, Australia. I'm going to be on exchange at BC for the fall semester and I was just wondering if anyone would be kind enough to give me any tips for studying at BC or living in the area, and if anyone can answer any of the following questions, I'll owe you my undying gratitude or my firstborn (whichever is worth more):
- How much time do BC students typically spend on campus? What's the uni social life like?
- Are there any things/places that someone should definitely check out when in Boston (or the flip side, things/places that should be avoided)?
- What's the average time commitment for a subject? I'm curious as to how different the course load will be from Australian universities.
- Since I'll be living off-campus, are there any locations which are particularly good or great value for (rent) money? Does anyone happen to know the ballpark range for an apartment in the BC area?
Thanks so much to anyone who takes the time to reply! I'm really excited for seeing what BC has to offer and any information or advice at all will be much appreciated :)
