Moving to Boston in 2022 (possibly), what should I know?
Post Body
21M currently living in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, and considering moving out after I graduate. While Boston isn't the only place on my list (some honorable cities include DC, Denver, and Seattle) I have been randomly exploring the city on google maps lately.
I have visited Provincetown but I know this is not at all Boston. The reason I would give Boston a shot is:
- Good Transit (Detroit you need a car which I hate)
- East Coast > West Coast
- Proximity to everything on the east coast in terms of nature and other cities (Taking the Acela to NYC or Autumn in Vermont seems beautiful
- It seems like it would be big enough to have all you need in a big city but small enough to still be walkable
- It's not across the country and only a 2-hour flight back to see my parents
What are some things I should know about people from Boston I should know or the city in general?
