Revolve Sound+ II, wake with Bluetooth low volume issue

Hello ! I’m new here, coming with an issue of a recently acquired Bluetooth speaker, a Revolve II. Basically when I turn it on via selecting the device in the Bluetooth options of the iPhone (12 mini) the speaker wakes but the sound is halved and sounds really quiet even at max volume, I have to go and manually disconnect and reconnect for it to have normal volume. *Now as I was typing this I went and tried the same with my MacBook (Air 2017) and there’s a similar issue, the speaker wakes but it isn’t selectable from the audio output. Tried again without turning off the speaker and volume was low until disconnecting and reconnecting again so it only worked properly after the 3rd time. I tried to update the firmware of the speaker but the Bose app says it’s updated. Any tips or help will be appreciated. For the time being I assume the feature is buggy, but it would be interesting to find out if anyone else has had this issue or it’s on my end only.
