I searched this sub for answers, didn't find anything relevant, so this is OC as far as I know. I'm gonna make it short and simple. It occurred to me that it's possible to make the QC25s wireless using the same bluetooth adapter I have in my car. There is an out-of-the-box solution that's much cleaner, but it's like $70 and the reviews didn't convince me.
What you'll need is:
- Cable (search "Wireless Conversion Kit Short Cable for Bose" on Amazon, in case link breaks)
- My chosen receiver (mpow streambot incase link breaks)
The cable I linked to is a MUST. I did hours of research, bought multiple adapters, none were as simple as that cable. Thank god I ran across that one. The adapter can be any of your choosing. The one I linked supports voice calls, it's rechargeable, and it's cheap.
As far as mounting the receiver, I considered velcro but the thought of how funky that looked made me just leave the adapter hanging. Thankfully the cable comes with a little clip for your shirt. If that clip breaks, i'll have to find another solution. And there you have it, bluetooth QC25s.
