Hello everyone. I've been a long-time user of this community and I understand that this request is a little unusual. Please hear me out. I'm hoping you will appreciate my honesty.
I have had a difficult few years. My wife and I both lost our jobs around the same time and we have struggled ever since. Several times, I've called on different members of this sub for help and (hopefully) have established a good record here. I have a current long-term engagement with /u/hedgie1 and I believe that he can speak favorably of me.
In the past few months, we have had to take loans from other sources. Each loan was just big enough to take care of the current problem (car trouble, etc.). Now, I'm beginning to realize that we are in over our heads and we are in trouble with our upcoming rent, specifically. With all of the automatic drafts, I'm not sure what to do.
I am getting a second job but the process is taking longer than I would like and will be too late for the current bill cycle. We have cut back on everything but essentials (rent, power, water). Once our other car is fixed, we can pursue more employment options. We are doing everything we can to fix this but we need help now to bridge this gap.
So, I'm turning again to this community because you are human begins and can hopefully recognize that I have a good track record and will not go dark. I'm sorry if the story is a little disjointed...I'm under a lot of pressure and this is one of the few places I have to look. My family isn't able to help and does not live nearby. I'm not sure where else to turn.
Please be willing to consider and speak to me about details. I'm looking for a lower-payment, long-term arrangement where possible. I know that anything beyond 6 months is an issue but I think we can work out a solution for that. Honestly, if you have any other advice, I am open to that as well.
Thank you for your time.
