Mod questions.

Do the skills work even if you haven't unlocked anyone of them on the tree? Eg. I have gotten a mod which gives me 2 skills on fl4ks blue tree (which I haven't touched) and 1 in the green tree (also untouched).
They are all kill skills.
I haven't seen any of the indicators pop up that the skill is active when I see them though.
