There was no real reason for that to be there. Jack (at the time) was just a code monkey who worked for Hyperion and his wife... Well we don’t know. Until now.
I propose that Jacks wife was a Jacobs or at least a relative to the Jacobs family. I mean why else have the pictures there, I notice borderlands is very good at small details like this.
A example of such detail is in a Typhon log (next to the Jacobs manor front entrance) where he talks about meeting a young Wainwright and tells him to use a shotgun due to his horrible aim, so throughout eden 6 you only see Wainwright with a shotgun.
