Stop reading if you haven't gotten all the dead claptrap drops...Ok here's my gripe, I was super disappointed in claptrap and Veronicas story conclusion. Maybe I have a soft spot for old clappy, but it'd of been cool to see him get the girl. Yes he's annoying, and the butt of all jokes, but it's nice to see a loser finally win something. Also the way she rejected him and his sobbing and wailing after was pretty awful and cringe writing and voice acting. Also I know the dead claptraps are just crew challenges like zeros targets/legendary hunts. However, you can check on Veronicas progress as you find new parts and she'll have new dialogue. It felt like some story was building there and not just a check list of kill these random enemies like the other challenges. I enjoyed playing through the robot revolution dlc for bl1 and like playing as clappy in the pre sequel. I think there is lost potential on not having them be together. In such a way that there could be dlc content or cool side missions with them being partners in crime raising hell around the Galaxy. They could go on a quest to find more living claptrap units, they could become robo Bonny and Clyde type bandits, they could acquire parts/weapons upgrades and become mercenaries for one of the corporations or go full Bender Rodriguez and try to kill all humans. Doesn't matter what really, being robots their relationship could be off the wall nuts and produce some pretty creative/funny content. So that's it for my rant. I feel like the writing team dropped the ball on a beloved character when they had a good opportunity to develop him more and add a new layer of story/depth with him finally getting a true friend. I might be looking too much into this, but borderlands is one of my favorite games and has a special place in my heart. Does anyone else feel this way? Am I totally wrong? Please I'd like to know your viewpoints similar and contradicting.
