A lot of us will be headed indoors for training in the next few weeks. Futsal seems to be an excellent skill set to work on hard gym floors during the winter months.
The ball is heavier and bounces less. It's a very good opportunity to work on sole-of-the-foot skills and 1v1 skills. For the younger ages, Futsal seems to fit in great with the technical training aspects of individual ball skills and increased confidence on top of the ball.
For the older ages, the short, fast passing and quick starts and stops translate well to a larger field, IMO.
Do you have any great Futsal exercises? If you do, please share them here!
