I just finished playing through Bloom for the first time. It is a combination of Doom and Blood mixed together. It mixes the best of both Doom 1 & 2 and Blood together. Some truly remarkable combinations occur, my favorite being the Train.

I cannot describe this mod as anything but blatant Fan Service, but it is some of the greatest fan service I have ever had the pleasure of playing. I very much enjoyed going through the levels and remembering. I enjoyed the beautiful music but especially the cover of Signs of Evil on/in Darkstation. The enemies were all so well done. The first time I saw the Gargoylevile I about yelled. So many beautifully unfair, but so well put together combinations.

If you are a fan of Doom and Blood and you haven't played through this yet, you should really check it out. It works out of the box but can be run through Doom Launcher as well. No other mods are needed on top.
