Writers like Ron Hansen?

Are there any similar writers in terms of themes/setting/prose? His work is mainly in the western genre and nearly has a biographical style to it. His writing is very clean and straight which I enjoy reading. Is there anyone else like Hansen I might like? Obviously excluding the other major western writers like McCarthy or McMurtry.
