I love long form nonfiction journalism. I have subscribed to the New Yorker for years, but I'm considering trying another magazine. I just want kind of a different take and format. I'm a little bored. I've done the Atlantic, I love their topics but the quality of the articles seems more variable. Other ideas include Harper's, which I haven't read in years, or the New York Review of books, which is more book focused than I want but great. I saw my aunt subscribes to Vanity Fair, which seems like a very different kind of magazine experience (she does live in Hollywood). Would even consider something more niche, like Rolling Stone?
What good magazines can you all suggest to me, with thought provoking journalism? If I only have time to read one a week, what should I try out reading this year?
