fantasy novel, adult, with a good enemies to lovers. with a Villan more interesting than the MC

Can be a slow burn. Or even just become friends. But I want to be more invested in the perceived Villan than the hero. A Villan who feels like a classic, ruthless, bastard who you secretly love.
I don't really have any novels to compare to this, though I have loved in the past ACOTAR though I've outgrown that. And haven't read much fantasy recently, but something more high fantasy would be lovely.
