I don’t know if it’s because my teachers forced me to read, but growing up I HATED reading. Any time I was assigned a book in class, I’d throw a temper tantrum so extreme that I got sent to special school for the first three years of grade 8. After graduating, I didn’t read a single thing that wasn’t a drive thru menu.
That all changed recently when a friend gifted me the audiobook version of ready player one. And let me say: wow, just wow. I can confidently state that this book is the single greatest thing ever written. It has everything. Romance. Social commentary. Family ties references. I know I’m a little late to the party, but I totally love literature, you guys.
