mold on hardcover spines!!! HELP!!!
Hey people, so i don't know how many are from Australia, but lately here in Sydney, especially western Sydney we've had massive rainfall and there's been massive amounts of flooding, which obviously means lots and lots of humidity and moisture in the air, and so quite a few of my hardcover books have started to grow mold on them, and I'm wanting to know how I should clean them most effectively, I've looked online, some say diluted alcohol, some say diluted bleach, or even straight hydrogen peroxide, my mum and nan have been saying mix some vinegar with some water and just lightly wipe them down with that,
So I'm just thinking that I'll ask on here for your opinions, because some of them are coloured hardcovers, so I obviously want to reduce any discolouration as much as possible so I wanted to hear from those that are far more experienced and have more knowledge
PLEASE HELP!!!
