I recently moved to a new apartment and I have a large collection of books I could like to display in the living room. However, there is a large sliding glass window in the room with blinds for privacy. I’ve placed UV film that says it blocks 99% of UV light on all the windows in my place already, should that be enough to prevent significant fading? I’d rather not place blackout curtains in the living room unless necessary, as there is no light fixture and I’d rather not fill the room with more lamps. My books aren’t necessarily rare, but they have a lot of sentimental value and most of them aren’t in print anymore, so I’d like to still protect them.
