Looking for a good way to organize my book collection
Post Body

Hey guys, I have a pretty massive collection of books that have been gifted to me over the years that includes a vast array of genres and sub genres from History to teen fiction to religion etc etc. This collection totals a little over 6000 books and with my wife and I moving into a new house we are going to try to get a fresh start on organizing them. My question is using a DDC(or other system) are there any programs or software tools that are "free" to help me organize and label the books (many of which are 50 years old and lack bindings that display any information), or has anyone ever created a spreadsheet/database that they could share a blank copy with me to help me get started.

Any suggestions on how you keep your collection organized would also be awesome. Thanks in advance! - Goo
