How do you take notes from nonfiction as a hobby?
Post Body

My favourite books are nonfiction but I don't really remember much from them 🙄

What's a good note taking system that is easy and relaxing? I don't need to be as detailed as when studying for an exam. But would need something fun and quick. I have ADHD so it's difficult to focus or stay motivated for long.

Do you have a system that works for you? Or any stationary that's helpful/fun/cute?

Comments

I’ve just started doing a thing where I read with an index card as a bookmark. I write the name of the book and day I started on it, and plan to note short thoughts or the pages of significant passages on the indexes! This way I can have multiple cards, and index them all afterwards (or keep them in the book)

ETA: I also still annotate & underline chunks that I like in the book itself. The index card is just there to help me remember my takeaways at-a-glance
