It’s been 3 months since I’ve started reading. I usually delve into non fiction books
I’ve finished 4 books so far
I enjoy it a lot, but there is a small issue
I like to read more like a researcher than for fun
I don’t know why but I’m always on the lookout for great insights or ‘aha’ moments and I write them down or highlight them within the book
For me a book is like an island where I have to hunt for the treasure and when I find it I store it / write it.
Idk when I’m going to use all these notes but I like taking them down lol
I know many people read just for enjoyment and don’t bother about notes
I don’t like doing that. I’m obsessed with taking notes and then writing them digitally into Apple Notes or Obsidian
It’s almost like I feel someday I might use these to explain someone else the terms I’m learning or to maybe start a newsletter or maybe a blog
Maybe not.
Is this research-based mindset good or shall I change it and become more casual and forget about notes?
