I just read “Young Mungo” and listened to Stuart’s “The Englishman”. I am enthralled by his writing! It seems like I can’t get enough and as I have reached chapter 7 in “Shuggie Bain”, I have a few questions. I am an American and as I read about how Shug has moved them into the new housing development, I’m having a hard time picturing the descriptions in my head. I was wondering if anyone could direct me to some photos of what their house may look like after the move from Lizzie and Wullie’s housing scheme? I think I have an idea, but all of my information is coming from old English and Scottish TV shows and I’m wondering if I am picturing it correctly.

I don’t know if this is offensive, but it makes me think of some of the housing that I see on some posts on Reddit that describes them as “chav”. I know this is a term for a person, but it’s hard to explain what I mean without providing pictures. Sorry if I am being offensive, I’m a naive American just trying to understand.
