My neighbour has this very old edition of Jane Eyre, it's from her childhood and she's an old woman now.
Felt amazing holding it in my hands and just taking in that fragrance of its old stained pages. An old flower pressed into its pages, a name written on the first page who doesn't exist anymore, how very poetic!
I was just wondering how many young girls in her life must've read this same book and grown up! So many people connected with a thread, a thread that binds us, it's definitely not just a book.
Really overwhelming feeling but I'm so glad to have an old version and feel its touch. It's not a vintage special edition of course, but for me, it's quite special because the one I own now is a very recent edition so it's cool to have an old one.
