help!!! thunderbolt honeysuckle boxwood
Post Body

i took this cutting a few months ago, because it looked like the main plant was dying and i wanted to save it to make bonsai. this was the only successful rooting. it hasn’t grown vegetatively really at all since it’s been rooted, a few of the leaves have browned and come off, but there is some new growth coming up as of last week. i have it indoors in indirect light (in a bright spot in my plant closet). i only give it water when the soil is nearly fully dried out, because i don’t have any proper bonsai soil on hand at the moment. it’s currently planted in a coco perlite mix, in a bonsai training pot. i’m just asking what i should do for the health of the plant. it looks beautiful already, and i am super excited for it’s future as bonsai. i want to keep it alive, though. help please!!! 🙏
