Hi! This year will be my second roo. I went for the first time in 2022 with 3 friends and really enjoyed the experience but did not get to see all of the music acts I would’ve wanted since I felt like I had to stay with my friends the whole time. I would love to go solo this year so I can make my own schedule. Does anybody have any advice for camping solo? I took a lot of notes of how me and my friends camped in 2022 and plan to do a lot of things differently but would love any advice on going solo/how to make some connections there/if going solo is enjoyable. 🫶🏻
I went solo my second year (last year) too!! As said above ONE OF MY BEST TIMES. You step onto the farm with 50 friends down the lane at camp I swear. I made tons of Kandi, glow sticks and a take one leave one box for by my car and it was a great way to branch out!! Your close neighbors are immediate so always introduce yourself when you’re able too!! My biggest tip is obviously just being aware and safe and and I always make a few friend groups I can relink with throughout the weekend! Since service can be scarce I like to ask them to show me their camp so if I want to stop by on my way to the festival the next day I can!! (I try not to share my exact location with anyone I meet that’s not by me just in case)
That’s my fav part of being solo is really choosing your vibes entirely!!
