Question: I know that there is a $10 million per bill/bond/note that is set by TreasuryDirect, but do people have experience on limits set by banks for ACH transfers?
Put an order in for a $1,135,000 buy on a 5-Year Note. Yes, there is sufficient funds in the account, but Iāve never had a āpurchaseā this large and wasnāt sure if bank will allow such a transfer.
Do I need to call Bank of America and let them know there will be a large ACH transfer? Or will it just be fine as is given funds are available?
Didnāt do this with BOA but did it with chase with a similar amount. They rejected me the first time around as it probably hit some alarm bells. I had to call and verify my identity prior to doing so to get it through. I also had to discuss receivership once the money comes back as that also might create alarm bells so they put a note on my account of the situation for when I will have to call in again. This could be different for you though given a different bank
