Just Starting BA Great Britain

Just Starting Bolt Action and actually picket up a Konflict 47 starter as a friend wanted me to start there. I wanted to shoot for a Great Britain 8th army with a focus on the Long Range Desert Group. I don't really know yet what's good in the game yet for my faction as I'm waiting for some of my rule books to come in. Does anyone have any recommendations on good units or what I should get to start my forces?
