It happened! I split my tongue!
The big day happened! Split tongue!
So it happened! I been prepping for three weeks for this. I took my tongue ring out, and I started drinking A LOT of water every day. I was using this time to legit work out my tongue and learn more tricks or my the ones I know already better. Give myself a good start to the process. I also set up a med space IV bag appointment. I got arnica and started taking it the day before today. Gave myself a good prep time to get it in my body and happy. I got a new toothbrush and alcohol free mouth wash. I had Waffle House as my last meal! Though I did get tiny diced pears, apple sauce, protein smoothie packs (oats and peanut butter to add), and jugs of water to stay ROOM TEMP. (Your tongue is going to be sensitive to heat and cold so I wanted to make sure it was gonna be nuteral for me and the buds!) I got here and everyone was SO nice!! My lovely body mod guy explained all the after care to me and the during. He marked me up, prepped me, gave me some tips, and tested to make sure it was all prepped. I then blind folded myself personally for my own needs and wants. And they clipped my tongue both sides which is 2nd most painful compared to the needle to prep you, and then he started away. Took maybe 5 minutes to cut, 15 minutes to stitch me up! After he was done, I could talk. I was swallowing my drool to help myself out. It wasn’t much and I barely even bleed. It has now been 4 hours and I took 4 Advil and the arnica, I am still drinking fine and feel good.
Only complaint is the stitches are tied pointing down so when I swollen they scratch a bit on the bottom of my mouth.
