Hi. I’ve been reading some posts in this sub looking for a similar situation I’m experiencing and decided to post here.

I work in a building with many different teams. There’s a pretty girl that I run into often (but I can avoid) and I don’t usually look at her. But when I do we usually make eye contact. But nothing else. When I was in her work area for something, I’ve caught her stare at me on two different occasions. When we made eye contact, she had no emotions showing and she didn’t look away. A few days later, I ran into her in the parking lot and I gave the biggest genuine smile and said hi. She also smiled (with eyes squinted) and also said hi. But before she said hi, she made this sound, hard to explain, not sure if it was a nervous laugh. I don’t know much about her other than that, like if she’s single etc. I’ve been kind of avoiding seeing her because I’m not sure if it’s awkward and I don’t want to make her feel uncomfortable if that’s how I make her feel. I don’t directly work with her but we’ve spoken once for work related reasons. I’m assuming she’s just being friendly? Idk what to think. Any insight would be appreciated!
