Interested in people's interpretation of the body language here.
Details:
* From the time stamp on the photo, it's the summer before I turned 11.
* The pic was taken by my mom. Since she didn't do candids, we were both aware ahead of time that the pic was about to be taken. Ok. She did candids, but they were never a surprise.
* We are standing about 5 feet apart by a flower garden in a university campus.
* My father is smoking a pipe, clearly not looking at my face, but looking at my feet.
* I am standing, looking at his feet, wrists crossed in front of my groin, standing with right toes perched on left foot.

I normally associate lack of eye contact with anxiety/shame. My dad was fairly remote, so anxiety on my part is quite possible. But why would my dad look at my feet? Is he feeling anxiety/shame?
I can't find anything describing this standing on one foot, with the other foot on top of it.
