Bicep Width (x-post from /r/Weightroom)

I asked this in /r/weightroom before I realized that it wasn't the right place...

  1. I've promised I've read the FAQ. (In both /r/weightroom and /r/bodybuilding)

  2. I feel like my biceps want to grow straight up and not gain much width. Did I miss something, or is this just some weird genetic thing? Should I try to find exercises that stress the brachialis more than the biceps? Is that even a thing?

  3. Bonus! I am hardcore barrel chested (Like this). When I was younger in skinny-fat days, I had a 48" chest and size 34 pants. I'm currently on a pretty generic routine (below). I'm just now focusing on aesthetics more. Should I do anything specific in regards to my chest size?

General Routine

  • M- Traps, Abs, Neck
  • T- Shoulders, Triceps
  • W- Rest Day / Cardio
  • T- Chest, Biceps
  • F- Back
  • S- Rest Day / Cardio
  • S- Legs
