Yeah I thought the same before researching into it but-

"Lemon juice in its natural state is acidic with a pH of about 2, but once metabolized it actually becomes alkaline with a pH well above 7. So, outside the body, anyone can see that lemon juice is very acidic. However, once fully digested, it's effect is proven to be alkalizing with many health benefits."

This is due to minerals in the juice apparently. It's a regularly recommended food for an alkaline diet everywhere I look but usually orange is recommended even more. Essentially creatine is doing the opposite when exposed to water and staying acidic as far as I can tell which may just be fucking up my skin pH. And yeah I'm going by elimination but was hoping I could keep it in some capacity because the results aren't that minimal atleast they're not at all framed that way from the thousands of studies on it (because it also assists cognitive function etc).

Recently had random eczema skin condition for the first time in my life after cycling onto creatine monohydrate for a while and I have a sneaking suspicion that's what's causing the problem it seems even when I'm hydrating enough or atleast within the recommended range for taking this supplement (128oz daily). Looking into it further I see monohydrate is apparently incredibly acidic because of a reaction when it's introduced to fluid so I'm guessing maybe it's taking me out of my alkaline range when I take it causing this but I also have two tubs of the stuff so for now I'm gonna try to mix it with lemon juice (alkaline) when I take it but has anyone had a similar experience or issues or heard of someone who has? Maybe I'm just taking too much at 5g and should lower to 3g as studies show that's fine for maintenance?
