15
experienced surfer new to bodyboarding - introducing myself
Post Body

Hi everyone,

New guy here introducing myself. I've been surfing for about 15 years or so (got into it late - I'm in my mid 40s. I may be old - but at least I'm slow). Recently moved from Florida to El Salvador and have been getting crushed by the head dumpy shore pound in front of my house. Not to mention I've broken my boards in half three times. (Plenty of surfable breaks nearby - but there's something to be said for stepping off your porch and paddling out) Had a traveling bodyboarder from Hawaii I ran into and invited him over to my place - and he said the wave would be super fun to bodysurf - so here I am.

I'm a pretty confident surfer, but am completely new to this aspect. I just ordered a Prime PE' 'stereo' bodyboard from one of the vendors that posts regularly on this sub.

Anyway - I'm so new to this that I don't have many questions - looking forward to getting out there and increasing my wave count. Any suggestions or thoughts you have are welcome!

thanks
