Inexpensive beginner sets?

My friends want me to put on a Bob Ross zoom event for them, where we all paint along to a Bob Ross video.
I'm in Canada, and the Beginner and Master sets are really pricy, and likely need to be imported from the USA. ($1000-$1500 for 10 of us. Could be more or fewer participants.
Anyone have any cheaper alternatives I might be able to source for standard brushes, knives, and oil paints? There might even be money for cheap easels and the like.
