Marine Air System reads HPF

So I just bought my first boat, 2005 Maxum 2700 SE and just installed a new AC pump because last one was leaking. The AC unit reads HPF. Doesn’t blow cold air but does run. I have to go back tonight and see if the heat works (trouble shooting and reading around online). Wondering if anyone has any insight. Iv read could be filter, lines, etc. I’m not sure if there’s any correlation but Iv filled and ran about 5 tanks worth of water thru the system and still have a strange smell coming out of the faucets. Not sure what to use to clean that out if anyone has any suggestions.
