Anyone had issues with Marine Repair Shops?
Post Body

I’ve had my fair share issues with boatyard mechanics so decided to take my boat to a reputable shop close to the marina. At first it seemed awesome the owner himself came out and looked at the boat and even sea trialed it. All and all, I need a new fuel tank. I had an old tank that had leaked water in it over the winter when it rained some in Los Angeles. He had me pay $1000 at first and then the following week they took out my tank. He said he was ordering a new tank and asked for another $1000, which I paid. It’s now been 3 months and nothing. I’ve called him and text him and he says it’s been ordered , shipping is slow etc. I had been pretty cool about until this week I realized it’s been 13 weeks now and still nothing. My boat is just sitting in my dry storage stall with no tank no nothing. Honesty at this point I don’t know what to do. The place is actually pretty reputable also, Baja Marine in San Pedro. What are my options or any advice on what to do?
