Mercruiser 3.0 fuel pump

Hello r/boating I have a question for anyone mechanically inclined. I'm needing to replace my boats fuel pump. The motor is a GM Mercruiser 3.0 Alpha One. I see quite a few variations of the fuel pump available the one I'm looking at specifically is the Titan 757 performance from bayareapowersports.com.

My question is, this says it's an upward facing fuel filter. Mine in upside down so that the bell haha below the pump. Will this still work? Can I just flip it upside down? Any help would be greatly appreciate! Thank you!
