Cruising speed under minimum wake bridges to beat the rain
Post Body

Heading home yesterday on the ICW trying to beat the rain I was pushing it a bit in the channel on the ICW (30-32 in a 25). Slowed to minimum wake for a bridge and got blown past by a cruiser doing about 35mph. I gave him the "WTF" shrug and he pointed up at the sky as if wake zones are suspended when there's rain coming. I left it at that but wondered how many folks do this.

Turns out we were heading to the same marina and I arrived maybe 5-10min after him. Didn't confront the guy and in fact he was very courteous at the dock helping us with our lines as we arrived.

Where do you all stand on this?
