I know this has been asked plenty of times, but I feel much more comfortable getting an answer that is directed towards me.

I’m getting a Ford Maverick with FWD, which has a towing capacity of 2000lbs. I also am looking into getting a tiny boat — some sort of Jon boat to putter around lakes and inlets.

I’ve seen lots of folks say to get the vehicle that you can tow what you want, but that’s just not a possibility for me right now.

With that said, anyone feel like being kind enough to help me with the logistics? I have ZERO towing experience, and this is some of the beginnings of my research. I would love any advice on whether getting and towing my tiny boat could be possible at all, or if having a tiny boat is just a pipe dream that I need to toss to the side.
