Tampa Bay Fishing
Post Body

Heading down to Tampa for the first week of June for a week fishing trip. We're focusing mainly on the flats and shallows due to the boat I'm bringing along (more on that later) 😃

My question to you natives:

What's your advice to a freshwater northerner coming down on their first saltwater adventure? I don't really care what we catch and neither does the guy coming with me, we're just looking for anything that swims and goes "glub" 😆. I'd like to hook into a bull shark at least once, but that's my only real goal.

I don't need your secret spots, just maybe some good ideas of areas to hang out. What times are best? What about rigs, lures, baits, the works?

We're coming down in my little Wisconsin river boat, so keep that in mind if you recommend anywhere specific. I can draft quite shallow, so that won't be much of an issue.

(16.5' Lund, don't judge. I like taking my little boat on big boat adventures)

TIA!!!
