Hull Design - Software?

So I've been aa long time user of Inventor, and currently have Creo available to me at work. But neither have I had much success with designing hulls and in particular flattening the profiles of the skin itself. I see some mixed input on Fusion 360, which as a bonus you can get a free licence for. Delftship looks good for the creation...kinda similar to 360 I guess....but nothing for flattening for a laser cutter or cnc.....
Does anyone have any experience of anything?
