The latter part of "Farewell Fire" on vinyl.
Post Body

I just got my vinyl reissue of The Campfire Headphase. When I listened to it and it got to the latter part of "Farewell Fire" when it gets very quiet I turned the volume all the way up so it was almost as loud as the first part. A side effect of this was that the fuzz and crackle of the record got much louder, and as I listened I thought it sounded like a crackling fire! It sounded like I was slowly coming out of the "headphase" and back to reality where I'm sitting in front of a campfire. Have any of you noticed this? Do you think they made the second part much quieter on purpose, so vinyl listeners would be prompted to turn the volume way up to hear, and get this campfire-like sound?
