Boarding Actions DIY Terrain Advice

I’m working on doing a DIY Boarding actions terrain board and set, and I’m having some difficulties I wanted thoughts on.

I’ve been using mostly measurements of the actual boarding actions terrain and may for the terrain, but I really don’t like how unintuitive it is. With how the pillars are on the GW terrain I’d need to redo a lot of what I’ve done or build more. I could cut the pillars that are currently square into diagonals, or I could make more walls

TL;DR: Do I change the terrain I’ve already made so the pillars match GW or make more to try and fill the gaps so to speak?
