What can r/boardgames tell me about Starfarers of Catan, and why is it going for hundreds of dollars on eBay?
Post Body

I got it as a present from my ex gf's mom around 5-6 years ago and literally never played it. I opened the package, made sure everything was in it, then never played it with anyone because no one seemed interested in learning how to play it.

I'm a huge fan of Settlers of Catan, and I need to decide if I want to keep it or not. I'm torn because I feel it could be worth more later (and I'm short on money as a fresh college graduate), or would be a great game for my future family (assuming I have one). What would you do, r/boardgames?

tldr: Mint condition board game outside of its plastic wrapping that I don't know anything about, nor what to do with.
