Is Oath a good beginner game to more complex board games?

Post Body

My gf and I want to take a bigger step in to board gaming and we have been eying Oath. We have never played a game with that many rules and pieces and we want to give it a go, the art of the game is absolutely stunning too.

Luckily we have a third person who really wants to play it as well and is great at teaching people board games.

Is this game way to complex? Will we get overwhelmed? How do you guys feel about this game in terms of complexity and ability to be understood by newcomers to heavier board games?
