TLDR: Among all the currently available content for Aeon's End, where should I start to introduce it to my SO for two player games, to whom AE might be the biggest or heaviest game yet?
So I have access to most if not all Aeon's end's content, between what I own and what's available in local game stores near me (minus what might be out there on kickstarter). I'd like to start 2 player games with my wife, who has slowly been introduced to board games in recent years, and is familiar to deck building games in general, star realms, clank in space, etc. We have not played any legacy games yet, although we do have other legacy game in our list.
I read through this thread from 2 years ago https://www.reddit.com/r/boardgames/comments/gempiy/aeons_end_where_to_start/. If I am starting this solo or with my game group, I might have just gone with release order, but people have great points from that thread about using Aeon's End Legacy as an entry point.
So I am wondering if anyone else has thoughts or experiences on introducing this game to someone that's maybe a gateway gamer, hopefully with minimal risk of souring their first taste so that I won't have to resort to solo this too much in the future?
