Multiplayer interactivity for Aeon's End vs Marvel Champions?

So I might have an opportunity to pick one of these up and start over the holidays, for mostly 2 players and maybe 4 players games, if/when covid goes away. Having not played either, how do these two co-op games differ, if any, in terms of player interactions? Which one encourages more team work? Which one engages you more when it's not your turn?
