I know I don't have a massive collection by any means but like most gamers, I find myself sitting in my game room staring at the shelves just thinking. It hit me at the end of last year that I have too much for me and my group....We play a lot of games...but there are some that haven't seen daylight in quite sometime and I decided it's time for them to leave. 2019 resolution was to trim the collection significantly and so far I've made some good progress. That is what I'm currently changing in my collection. So far out the door this year is
- All my Heroscape stuff. I had a lot and the majority of it went to a good home. A father is introducing it to his boys!
- All my DnD collection. Books...minis...maps, when you have this many boardgames it's hard to split time. DnD is a blast, I just don't have the time or energy to dedicate to it anymore.
- I've prolly sold off 10 games already (since Jan 1) and more are leaving when I go to Geekway. Looking to dump off (at least) 10 more games there.
I've been in the hobby since 2012 and honestly It's been one of the best things ever. Because of Boardgames, I've made numerous friends or was brought closer to some. It sounds kinda crazy but it truly has changed the course of our life, and for the better at that.
Prolly the best part of 2019 is my 3yr old finally wants to game with daddy! She is a pureblood! Yeah sure we gotta help her a lil here and there, but she's tough to beat at some Rhino Hero Super Battle! The little one is showing interest too...but shes more in the Godzilla Phase....
Anyway here is the Game room as of 2019
