As kids my brother and I had these game packs that were big maps and you used a crayon on them to track what items you're character had and how many moves you had left. One was set in some caves I think and the other a castle (I believe called Escape From Castle Cobweb). The main goal of both was to take your character from a start point through a series of "choose your own adventure" style questions (such as "If you have a rope go up to the bat cave, if you don't carry on to the tower") to some end goal.
I remember having loads of fun with them when I was a kids and we actually kept them right up until our parents split 8 years ago when my brother took them (on the theory that he had kids to play them). I've since learned that he decided his kids weren't going to play them so he got rid of them. Highly annoying when he's the guy who can barely fit in his house for all the ancient computer games.
Anyway, does this sound familiar to anyone? Is there anything similar out there just now? I know my kids would have loved them so really hoping someone out there can help.
