Our group was playing The Bloody Inn tonight and there was some contention with handling some guests - specifically those that say "Immediately do an action". For example the greens that say immediately give xF.
My understanding of the rules is that these guests grant the wealth only when you build their annex, NOT when you draw them because other guests behave this way.
The entire rest of my group is adamant that this means you gain xF upon drawing the guest and an additional xF upon building their annex. I dont feel this makes sense as it's not how any other guest works. Their argument was "the card says immediately and other guests say from now on". I read this as immediately upon activating the guests power by building the annex. This is especially true for the room service and key powers. It wouldn't make sense to draw this guest, place a room service and then discard that guest next turn but keep this bonus.
Despite my arguments we ended up playing the way the group wanted which was fine, we still had fun but I would like to know for future playthroughs.
Anyone have clarification on this from an official source? The instructions won't work because I already tried that and everyone was happy to interpret it their own way lol.
