What to do about Amazon Fraud [Answer]

Post Body

The boardgame community has been targeted by Amazon 3rd party sellers that are actually scammers.

This morning I got an alert because Firefly: The Game -- Big Box Edition was on sale. 'Fantastic!' I thought.

$23! What!? But then I saw the hallmarks of a fraudster: brand new seller with a product at its lowest price ever by far.

They were playing with my emotions. I really wanted that game. Oh well.

So I looked at how to report them. Amazon doesn't make it obvious. A Quora answer, though, said send an email with a link and details to [email protected] for a quick response. I put a link and why I thought it was a fraud in an email and sent it.

Well...I just checked now a few hours later. The listing is gone. The seller is gone! Success! One less scammer on the market -- for now.

TL;DR if you see a brand new seller with a product at an unbelievable price, send the details to [email protected] for review.

Be careful out there my meeples.
